AT A GLANCE

The Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, which opened in May of 1973, is a long-term, 154 bed sub-acute and skilled nursing facility providing comprehensive, specialized medical and rehabilitative care.

The Hellenic is set on 13 beautifully landscaped acres in Canton, Massachusetts and serves primarily, the communities of Greater Boston and southeastern Massachusetts with emphasis on the ethnic, spiritual and cultural needs of the Greek community. Because of our unique mission, many of our residents come from areas well beyond, from far and wide, to reside at the Hellenic.

The administration at the Hellenic, being mindful of the new technologies and current trends in long and short term care, have expanded the Center's services which include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Long and Short Term Care - 24-hour skilled nursing services.
• Post Acute Care - Short-term rehabilitation prior to returning home.
• I.V. Services - Antibiotic Therapy and Hydration Therapy.
• Short Term-Respite Care - 14 days or less does not constitute and admission to the Center for long term placement.
• Rehabilitation Services - Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies provided by licensed certified staff.
• Activity Programs - Structured for all levels of resident participation.
  Activity programs are augmented and enhanced by special events and enrichment programs provided by volunteers and staff. Church services and spiritual programs are celebrated on a regular basis.
• Specialized Alzheimer Care - A secured 36 bed Alzheimer Care Unit with its own Director, specialized care and activity programs.

Three Levels of Dining

• Main Dining Room - For residents who are able to enjoy dining in a primarily independent environment.
• Restorative Dining Program - For small groups who need monitoring and close supervision.
• Dependent Direct Feeders - A one-to-one feeding program provided by licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants.
