THE FACILITYPrivate and semi-private rooms are available. Residents are encouraged to add their personal touches to their rooms. A favorite piece of furniture, pictures of loved ones or cherished mementos help make a room feel more like home. On each resident floor, there are sitting rooms and a solarium where residents share each other's companionship and gather to socialize with family and friends.
The facility has a lovely patio which features popular summer cook-outs and barbecues which are enjoyed by the residents, their families, staff and visitors. A hair salon, activities room, and therapy facilities are other enhancements that contribute to the quality of life at Hellenic.
A team of professionals is in attendance twenty-four hours a day to ensure the highest quality care in a protective and dignified environment. The staff represents a wide range of specialties, including physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers and nutritionists. Together they create a restorative program suited to individual needs, working to maximize the potential of each resident. At the Hellenic, residents may choose to have their personal physician provide their care. However, if that is not possible, our staff will assist you in selecting a physician. Your physician in conjunction with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals will develop an individual program of restorative care. We have built our reputation on our quality nursing, medical and therapeutic team. We are very proud of the services and care the Hellenic provides to its residents, the standards of which not only meet, but surpass state and federal guidelines.
A resident's illness, injury or diminishing wellness impacts his or
her entire family. Here, a resident's family is considered to be an
integral part of the resident's care. Families are invited to
actively participate in goal-setting, conferences, teaching programs
and counseling sessions. They will work with members of the
interdisciplinary care team throughout a resident's stay.
Our social workers help address the complex issues related to any handicap or debilitating illness. In addition, support groups are organized especially for family members. At these meetings families can share their feelings and thoughts with others who are in similar situations. Through their bilingual skills and cultural awareness our social workers can further ease the transition for the resident and his or her family.
